I checked PC Part Picker and found a Ryzen 5800X paired with an X570 board. The system asked for a BIOS update because the older CPU wasn’t supported. There’s no built-in way to refresh the BIOS without swapping in a different CPU, but you can manually download the latest BIOS from the manufacturer’s site and install it on the new processor.

On certain motherboards, yes. For others, AMD offers a boot kit when needed. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-105
