You’ll need to replace the old motherboard with a compatible upgrade and then reinstall Windows. You don’t necessarily have to buy a brand-new system unless you want a fresh setup.

Usual steps again, but you’ll probably need to turn it on manually. You can contact Microsoft Support by calling the number provided and following the instructions on the screen. I made two calls in one week after returning a motherboard via RMA, and everything worked fine.

Since you might have to reinstall often when a different motherboard is added or your system faces issues, keep in mind. Even changing to the same board doesn’t always prevent problems.
