I’m working on updating Astroneer and need a faster fix. The internet speed listed was 120KB, which is low for my 300Mb connection. It took over five hours, even though I’ve updated larger files before without issues. I’ve restarted my PC several times already. Could you help me avoid long daily updates? Also, I’m using the Xbox app with Game Pass—does that affect the process?
What rate do you receive when you perform a speed test? The incoming signal doesn’t always match the one you get via your WiFi adapter. Other users or devices—like additional laptops, PCs, or phones—can consume bandwidth, reducing your connection speed. Being too distant from your Router or Modem also impacts performance. Walls and other obstacles can further affect your internet velocity.
I wouldn't engage in online games over Wi-Fi. However, the issue could lie elsewhere—possibly with third-party servers that are currently overloaded or experiencing delays.
