MSI launched a BIOS for my B450 Tomahawk Bear. I don’t have the latest version, just the standard one with 2700 and 3000 MHz RAM. Curious if anyone has tried it and what their experience was—did it make a difference? AMI BIOS v7C02v1D, released on November 11, 2019, size 9.22 MB. It includes updates like AMD ComboPI1.0.0.4 Patch B (SMU v46.54), which speeds up boot time and enhances PCI-E device support.

Surely BIOS updates can feel intimidating sometimes, so only proceed if you understand what to do if something goes wrong during the process.

Avoid issues by sticking to what you have. Unless you require changes in the new version.

Two groups exist: those who regularly check for updates and those who avoid it. Unless you need particular functions or face problems, I won’t bother unless there’s a security announcement.
