A few years ago I purchased a Ryzen 7 3700x and updated my B350 Tomahawk BIOS to Zen 2. I upgraded my motherboard to a B550 and transferred my Ryzen 7 3700x from the old board to the new one. I retained my older Ryzen 5 1600x in case I wanted to assemble a budget gaming PC for a friend. My B350 had BIOS version 7C91vA0, but it doesn’t support the older Ryzen 5 1600x. Can I change the BIOS back to an earlier version or one that works with Ryzen 5? I attempted this and the board said it can’t revert to previous BIOS levels. I tried resetting CMOS by removing the battery and jumping the JBAT1. Thanks for your help! Please let me know how I can avoid contributing to e-waste.
