I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 8.1 Pro PC to Windows 10 using the provided tool. I understand the update process for Windows 8 or 7, but I'm curious if this tool can achieve the same result. Thanks!

You’ve already tested it and are now choosing between creating a bootable USB or updating your system. After the download, you should see separate options for each version. Yes, there will be distinct choices depending on the files you receive.

When I pressed the bootable USB, it prompted for a version check. Probably assuming it was your system, but it didn’t know what you had.
