I possess 16GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz RAM. Recently I added another 16GB (same frequency and timings), but now I'm experiencing random blue screens. Running all rams at base speed (2133 Mhz) is fine without BSOD. I've used the XMP profile, which sets them to 3600Mhz. The only remaining step is updating the motherboard BIOS. Could anyone assist me in choosing the correct option from MSI Tomahawk Max BIOS Update? One of its updates is for a 5xxx CPU, and if installed, my Ryzen 5 3600 might not work properly. Please help. The BIOS version I currently have is what? Thanks.
I checked that update and confirmed the latest BIOS includes support for the 5xxx series. Despite the update, I’m still limited to 3600Mhz across all four sticks. I’m currently running at 3200Mhz and can assist with troubleshooting.
Are you looking for any suggestions? I'm currently stable at 3200Mhz. Can I still reach a stable 3600Mhz? I experience a blue screen when enabling XMP or manually setting the frequency. Right now, I prefer manual 3200Mhz instead of auto.
4.32 (Samsung die) and 5.30 (Hynix AFR) perform poorly with Ryzen. Can 5.30 function independently at 3600?
I place a set of pairs (8x2) and they perform perfectly at 3600Mhz, regardless of whether it's from Hyundai or Samsung. However, when I use both pairs (4x8) at the same frequency, I encounter BSODs even with XMP enabled or manually adjusted DRAM speed to 3600Mhz and voltage set to 1.380. Stability drops to 3200Mhz for both pairs.
