Despite various conflicting ideas about performance improvements, this update offers a useful feature—using alt + tab to exit games at different resolutions more quickly and smoothly. For instance, in CSGO, when playing on a 1366 x 768 monitor while using a 1920 x 1080 display, the update lets me exit the game in under two seconds, significantly faster than previous updates.
The update performed very well. I've been using it for roughly a week, and the pre-release version was also quite solid.
