Hey everyone! I'm looking into upgrading my gaming and rendering gear since my current performance is a bit slow for tools like After Effects, Premiere, or Media Encoder. My setup includes a Gigabyte GA-990-FX motherboard, an AMD FX9590 CPU, a Corsair H100i platinum cooler, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM at 1600MHz, and a Zotac RTX 2060 GPU. I'm planning to spend around 700-750€ (about 840$) mostly on Amazon thanks to the good warranty. I'm especially interested in CPU+RAM+motherboard combos for gaming with some rendering work. I was thinking about Ryzen 7 series but don’t have much experience, so any suggestions would be great! ^^

This item I added to my cart is quite different from the motherboards and RAM. The FX9590 is essentially a powerful processor core, not something you'd find in a typical motherboard or RAM setup.
The motherboard closely matches the TUF X570-PLUS, which I initially selected but opted for a more affordable option instead. It mainly offers additional features, especially in VRM performance—capable of handling a 3950X without problems. The standout feature would likely be the improved built-in audio compared to the Prime board or the TUF model. While the RAM specifications are marginally inferior due to looser timings, they perform adequately at the target frequencies. Given its 50% higher price compared to the Ripjaws kit I mentioned earlier, it’s not worth the cost unless you prioritize aesthetics or specific components like Wi-Fi and slightly better VRMs. If you’re set on a Strix for appearance, feel free to proceed, but keep in mind the price difference.
