Yes, disabling loading mipmaps can help reduce stuttering and improve performance in some cases. It’s worth trying if you notice lag or delays.

TotalBiscuit turned it off and claimed the frame rate gets much better. Still, the game appears noticeably lower quality.

I noticed a video featuring stuttering, and watching it was overwhelming.

The Mips update brings significant improvements, especially with GPUbufferedframes. It didn’t fix everything for me, but it helped a bit. The stuttering is still there but much less noticeable now—around 55-60fps fluid. Those interruptions stopped me from playing at all. Turning off MotionBlur also helps cut down on stutters; try both on and off to see the difference. A quick video comparison shows clear gains when you look at scenes starting at 1m:10s and 1m:50s.

I made that change and it improved things a bit. FPS stayed steady now, and disabling god rays plus setting a cap at 50 helped. On average I’m seeing 45-50fps compared to the previous 40-60fps. Still occasional dips around 30fps from time to time.
