Update for 9.14900K microcontroller and temperature readings
I completed the I9 microcode update yesterday. Prior to that, my CPU temperatures were around mid-30s to low 40s during idle. After the update, temperatures climbed into the high 60s, with a few cores idling at about 60. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I also undervolted the CPU by 0.070 before the update, and had the same problem then too.
It seems uncertain about the exact details, but it's past five now and likely not earlier.
an earlier microcode version contained an issue causing incorrect temperature readings, displaying values that were lower than the actual temperature.
