Hey there, I'm updating my ASUS Sabertooth x79 and wanted to switch from Windows 7 to 10. The installation kept failing with the "safe_os phase," and after some checks, I think the BIOS might be the problem. I'm using a 2012 version (v1104), and it looks like a newer BIOS added support for Windows 8, which could help with 10 too. I have two questions: 1. Has anyone else experienced issues with Windows 10 on this board? Do you think an updated BIOS is necessary? 2. Does Asus's "Asus Update" tool work well for BIOS updates inside the OS, or should I try the EZ flash method in the BIOS? Thanks!

I usually refreshed my motherboard BIOS using the q-flash or ez-flash technique. You might want to give it a try.
