I also bought an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and need to update the BIOS so my CPU functions properly. Since the motherboard doesn’t have a flash BIOS button, that seems like the best choice for me. This is my first PC build and I don’t have any other CPUs.
For your Ryzen 2600, the BIOS version H0 is available since August 2019, which is over a year ago. It’s likely the default BIOS installed at startup. The next version, H2, came a month later and adds support for older processors like Athlon 200ge and 240ge. You should be good to go unless you need confirmation. To verify, ask the store staff to install the CPU, cooler, RAM, and basic graphics card, then use a USB drive formatted as FAT32. Unzip the BIOS on the USB, load it during installation, and follow the update menu.
