Hello, your audio enhancements aren't showing up in both the microphone and speaker settings, even after updating Windows 10 to version 1709. Anyone experienced with this problem?

The enhancements from after 1709 are available, though I haven't utilized them yet.

They're still here for you. What's the point of using them then?

It helps adjust volume levels, acting like a compressor or limiter. Useful when preparing wide area network audio before fixes were made.

Based on what I've seen, they appear to be very unpredictable, often highlighting certain frequencies while others fade away.

I've observed a tendency to focus heavily on the bass, though it's uncommon. You might enhance it by pairing it with an EQ that reduces low frequencies when needed, since clarity and comfort are more important than perfect sound quality.

Yeah, particularly after the latest update. I keep questioning why this is happening unexpectedly. I've been using EQ since switching from Athlon, which is a big change for me. Plus, with my basic microphone, I rely on noise reduction and echo cancellation to keep my speaker volume down so my mic doesn't pick up too much. #SorryBadEnglish

Recommend avoiding the standard Windows equalizer features. They can produce unusual effects, especially when boosting specific frequencies. Consider using EqualizerAPO instead.

I'm using Realtek's EQ and recently discovered APO. It seems to work well for adjusting my microphone but isn't consistent with my speakers. I might explore it further. It helps with mic EQ, but I haven't tried it on the speakers yet.
