Check your connection setup—Ethernet works fine. The Z790 chipset supports Gigabit speeds, so you don’t need a new network card unless you want extra features. Just ensure your PC has a stable power supply and enough RAM for the download.

Standard Gigabit Ethernet delivers 1000Mb/s, which is quicker than your latest internet service. It should work just fine.

Review the motherboard's details: the page shows it supports 2.5 Gbps LAN, which translates to 2,500 Mbps. This means it can reach speeds up to five times faster than your typical internet connection. You likely won't need any additional hardware beyond a Cat 5e cable or something better.

Your internet speed is limited to 100Mb/s. Verify your router has Gigabit LAN ports. Otherwise, consider upgrading for better performance with your current plan.

It includes a fresh router, which should provide the necessary ports. If not, I own a reliable Asus model from a previous purchase—around £80, though it didn’t integrate with my current internet service.
