Hey guys
I’m thinking about upgrading my setup. I have an i7 7700 and a H270 motherboard, and I’m considering moving to a higher-end CPU and motherboard that supports overclocking. I saw a deal at Frys Electronics for $365 for an i5 7600k and a Z270 board, which sounds like a good way to drop down from the locked 7700 to the 7600k from the H270.

I thought that too... thanks for catching my mistake.
7700 will be useful for a long time, concentrate on the GPU since it usually has the biggest impact on performance.

Don't go overboard. It won't improve performance. 7600k is equivalent to or worse than 7700.

Makentox :
Stay calm, it's not a good idea. The 7600k won't improve and might even lag compared to 7700.
