Hi. I'm experiencing a range of visual problems, mainly in certain titles but not consistently across all games. It tends to intensify when I increase settings or push them higher. Some games allow me to hit maximum without any trouble, while others start showing minor glitches even at the lowest graphics levels. Previously, setting everything to full capacity in demanding games would cause only slow performance, but now I frequently encounter strange graphical effects and distorted models.

> Games without issues: Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 (even with ray tracing), Tekken 8 (though it runs unevenly), Apex Legends, Fortnite.
> Games with problems: Diablo 4 (the worst for this issue, even at low settings and limited frames), Space Marine 2, Helldivers 2 (geometry issues only), Street Fighter 6 (colorful spots but not geometry), Spider-Man remastered (issues at all settings), Marvel's Spider-Man. Restarting fixes the problem temporarily.

It used to be that pushing all settings high in tough games led to slow frames, but now I see these intense graphical artifacts in many titles. Interestingly, even with my new GPU it still shows some issues, though not as often. The same problems appeared on my previous GPU (RX 580) in Street Fighter 6, especially at higher graphics levels. It seems the issue isn't limited to my current hardware.

What’s odd is that similar glitches occurred with my old GPU too. I thought upgrading helped, but it only gave me more time before problems returned. Software doesn’t seem to trigger it either. I’ve tried restarting, reseating RAM, changing PCI slots, updating drivers, adjusting settings, and even switching monitors. Still, the pattern remains consistent.

I’m seeking advice on what else might be causing this beyond a failing GPU. The fact that some games handle ultra settings well while others don’t is puzzling. Thanks for your help!

You can fix the issue by checking replacement components. You might also request a friend to lend their PC for testing. Begin with your GPU in their machine, then test it on your own PC.

Thanks for the update! It would really help if you could troubleshoot this on your own. Since you don’t have access to replacement parts, you might want to start by testing different components yourself and see what works. You’re planning to gradually replace parts and sell those that function well, which is a smart approach. Just be sure to test thoroughly before investing in more expensive fixes, especially with budget concerns.

Consider testing a DDU, though since performance drops with higher settings, I’d lean toward it failing the vRAM.

It's cool you came across DDU—maybe I should try it out soon! Thanks for the tip; VRAM issues can be tricky. Could an old PSU really affect GPU VRAM, especially if it took time to impact two cards? Not sure, but appreciate the help!

Seems like RAM is damaged.

That's a great suggestion, I can handle it on Tuesday. Appreciate the idea!

It seems the VRAM was faulty or another part of the GPU failed. I transferred the GPU to a brand new setup with a fresh Windows install, but the issue persisted. I’ve reached out to Palit for a possible refund since I purchased it over two years ago.
