Hey! I set up a friend's new PC and it’s been acting odd. Sometimes when switching tabs or opening menus, things freeze completely—like the server lists on Discord and Reddit. The last time it happened, World of Warcraft displayed a bunch of strange squares. Windows is still running normally, which makes it hard to pinpoint the problem. It seems to occur mainly when using Alt-Tab, not during heavy tasks. I tried reinstalling drivers and running Windows updates, but the issue returned right after he brought the PC home. We used a different screen and peripherals in both locations, but the logs didn’t show anything unusual. I’ve attached screenshots of the latest events and a picture from the game. Anyone have any suggestions to help us figure this out? It’s hard to say what might be causing it, but everything seems normal otherwise. Thanks for your help!
The faulty GPU might make the event viewer ineffective for fixing issues, since it mainly records minor system warnings rather than serious hardware problems.
