Hey there, I’m trying to figure this out. I just got a new monitor—144Hz with HDR, compared to my old 60Hz non-HDR one. I experimented with it in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which really pushed the GPU to its limits and made the fans spin loudly. It’s not the first time I’ve pushed it hard, but lately it’s been more intense. After around 30 minutes of play, I started noticing tiny issues in the right side of the screen. At first I thought it was just a game glitch, but it got worse quickly. When I tried to quit the game, everything went white and then black. I reset my PC but still see the same problems. When I restarted, the right side froze and turned black, but sounds remained. I tried another game, got the same issues again—only this time it shut down faster and the screen went black instantly. I turned off the PC, waited for it to cool, and tried the game once more, but the same glitches appeared. I also ran Blender rendering without problems and got the same issues in Tomb Raider, though it stopped working smoothly. I tried using a different GPU from a friend, but the same problems showed up. So maybe my GPU is failing? Luckily, he has a spare one I borrowed (he’s got a lot more money). I put the card in a different PCIe slot, but it didn’t help. Now I’m wondering what else could be wrong. I recently installed a new M.2 drive to remove the GPU, but there wasn’t enough space for a smooth setup. I tried putting it in the lower slot and still had trouble. It feels like the PCIe port might be damaged, or maybe I accidentally bent it. The HDR setting in Windows seems to help fix the issue, but it keeps showing up. I’m not sure what else to try. The right-side glitches are persistent, mostly with short flashes or gray rectangles that flicker fast. In the game they looked like colored static, but in Windows it’s harder to spot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
