Three temperature sensors displayed unusual readings on the new motherboard. They consistently showed around 80°C even when idle. When pushing the CPU to its limit with intense gaming, the sensors reported nearly identical temperatures, differing by just a few degrees. What could cause this behavior?

It seems like a sensor that isn't being used, possibly stuck at a single setting. You might want to use HWiNFO64 to inspect it further—it can identify sensors linked to its controller and provide more details about what it does.

It doesn't stay at a single point; it shifts occasionally with changes as small as 1-2°C.

I've relied on the free edition for a long time; it never missed showing anything. You're looking for the installer version, which might stem from software errors. That's why I suggest HWiNFO64—it's typically the most precise tool for this task.

Did the missing sensors belong to the board itself, or were iCUE readings coming from sensors that weren’t originally present?

It seems HW64 displays only limited information. Also, I don’t see any indication of CPU core clock monitoring being present.

It's typically located among the two groups of CPU sensors, often with a selection menu (similar for per-core readings). With Ryzen, things can get more complex because of AMD's setup. My experience mostly involves Intel CPUs, so iCUE probably wasn't available then. It's not usually the top pick for temperature tracking either.
