I also received it, but eventually mine changed to green checkmarks and then disappeared

I agree, it might make sense to restart now. Hopefully it works (it’s a bit uncertain).

I believe you modified the shortcut image. Did you adjust your earlier Windows version? If you make a shortcut for a folder, you should notice the X symbol.

Attempted to make a folder shortcut, but all those icons changed to another image featuring two people. Removed the shortcut and everything returned to the default icon. Haven't adjusted the shortcut settings since Windows 7 started. The cache seems corrupted. I'll restart now and check the outcome.
