Pc specifications include a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3060ti, B550 A-Pro, and an 850W PSU (80+ Gold). Your system is showing repeated interruptions while running light CPU tasks. When trying to screen share via Discord or switch tabs, the screen freezes briefly before dropping to a few frames per second. Task manager data shows occasional high CPU usage, rarely exceeding 70-80%. Alt-tab during screen sharing causes audio glitches and volume spikes, and performance drops significantly, making mouse control difficult. The issue appears to stem from software or display handling rather than hardware failure. This seems to be a known problem with Discord screen sharing features. Hello, I received your friend request to check if I can help with this problem. It seems hardware acceleration might be the cause.
You upgraded from an older GPU model and removed the previous drivers. The CPU still reaches 100% occasionally, and Task Manager’s CPU stats aren’t reliable. You’re referring to SSDs or HDDs, and you want more details about what “minor CPU usage applications” mean and when these issues occur.
Based on the most recent BIOS updates, the latest AMD chipset drivers are available for download. The MultiPlane Overlays feature is currently turned off (MPO). Your RAM is configured to use XMP profiles.
I talked with Chebse yesterday via Discord and realized their Nvidia drivers weren't functioning properly. We tried disabling hardware acceleration first, but it didn’t help. Then I had them remove their existing graphics driver using DDU to eliminate old software. Finally, I reinstalled the graphics driver from the official Nvidia site. Discord appears to be working perfectly now.
