I repeatedly attempt to power on my PC after connecting it to the wall outlet. It lights up briefly before shutting off and then restarts shortly afterward. When I power it off and turn it back on without unplugging, it boots normally. This issue only occurs during the first boot after plugging in. It’s been happening for some time now, and today is the only day I can address it because of my busy schedule. I suspect the problem isn’t a dead CMOS battery since the system time and date remain accurate. My machine has the specs: i5-6400, Asus H110M-D GTX 1060, 4GB RAM, 2x 500GB SSD, 2x 1TB HDD, Seasonic 520w M.2. I’ve tried several fixes: clearing CMOS, updating BIOS, swapping RAM positions, re-seating the motherboard and CPU, and reseating the GPU. I’m considering a new PC due to its age but lack the budget. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Did you disconnect the entire system and then reconnect it? Have you attempted to reinstall the CPU and GPU?

Only replaced the GPU because it was blocking the CMOS battery, but left the CPU untouched. I’ll give it another shot.

Managed to reconnect all cables and reinserted the RAM, yet nothing worked. I wasn’t able to reinstall the CPU since there was no thermal paste left.

It seems related to the motherboard BIOS configuration. Could be a parameter affecting performance.

It seems the display consistently prompts for setup to restore BIOS configurations, indicating these settings are repeatedly losing.

No, I didn't measure the battery voltage at that time.
