Unusual slowdown or freezing in gameplay Issue detected with frame rate and performance
My system experiences significant FPS drops whenever I perform any task, especially during short intervals. Games, Discord, file explorer, and other applications all suffer from brief screen freezes that don’t impact performance. When it does happen, the action appears to speed up sharply after the freeze, making rapid key presses or mouse movements seem exaggerated. Audio and video streaming remain unaffected. The issue starts when the PC boots and worsens with prolonged usage. A restart resolves it temporarily. Despite updates to Windows, drivers, and RAM, the problem persists, possibly linked to the GPU or motherboard. I’m concerned it could be hardware-related and may require replacement of one or both components. Please help identify the cause and suggest a solution.
I experienced the same problem with both games and the whole system—frame and audio would stutter every few seconds. When checking the framerate, it displayed smooth 60 or 90 FPS, but the video showed interruptions. I tried several fixes: restarting, reinstalling Windows 10, using original drivers, updating graphics cards, changing power settings, upgrading BIOS. The best result came when I upgraded to Windows 8.1; everything worked perfectly afterward. I’m planning to try installing Windows 10 again to confirm the issue is resolved. Please give it a shot!
