I'm experiencing an unusual memory problem. I recently replaced two sticks, matching the same frequency and timing, but my PC won't boot after installing them. I tried adjusting the frequency to 2133MHz, which is the maximum speed available, but now it's not running at its rated rate. The system still shows issues with BIOS and memory settings. I've also updated BIOS, reset it, and changed XMP settings, yet performance remains poor. Any suggestions?

Do you have four sticks installed? Resetting the BIOS to its default settings (found in the BIOS menu) differs from clearing CMOS; the latter significantly reduces functionality.

Increase voltage slightly to 1.4 and adjust frequency to 2933. It could help. If that doesn't work, settle for 2800—it won't change much from there.

I'm sticking with the Viper kit you mentioned earlier. I'll attempt a clear CMOS next, but I need to take out my GPU to access the battery.

two connections on the mainboard can be disabled by connecting a metal item between them, which also clears the cmos. this method is accurate, not by taking out the power source.
