I'm a new builder using the b650 Aorus ax elite. The board displayed a DRAM light, but everything seems correctly seated. I plan to install one stick of RAM in each slot to check if it affects things. Once, the light went off and the boot light activated, which makes sense since I don't have an OS yet, but the BIOS is working perfectly. No problems with storage, CPU, RAM, or GPU. I'm puzzled about why the lights appear and concerned I might have made a mistake. Thanks!

The remaining specifications such as CPU and memory details remain unchanged after clearing CMOS.

Is the power for DRAM active yet but the BIOS remains visible? It still appears on the display. Likely, updating the BIOS to the latest version will resolve the issue. If the BIOS doesn't update when DRAM is detected, there may be a compatibility problem with your RAM. Checking the BIOS settings and applying an update could help. If the problem persists, you might need to replace the RAM module.

You can update your bios through the device settings or manufacturer’s app. To check if they’re up-to-date, compare the current version with the latest available release. If outdated, follow the instructions in the update guide provided by the manufacturer.

CMOS is the small battery that keeps your BIOS and settings active when the PC isn’t powered on. To reset it, you’ll need to remove the battery for a few minutes or use a tool to clear the CMOS. If you’re unsure, check your motherboard manual for safe steps.

Sorry, I didn't provide a direct quote or response to that. The system is now displaying a red boot light, indicating it doesn't have a connected boot drive. It seems the issue might have resolved itself after several restarts.

Great to see your memory recognized and the post mentioning no boot device, which is typical for you. Clearing CMOS means removing the battery for about 30 seconds to reset the BIOS settings. The battery stores the BIOS information when the computer is turned off. You can usually locate the UEFI/BIOS version on the first page in advanced mode and at the top in basic mode. Newer versions are available on the manufacturer’s support page, with F3h being the latest release.

I'm sorry to hear this, I put everything together after double-checking everything in the post, but it's not getting published anymore. I looked at every connection and pin, and nothing looks wrong. The CPU and RAM seem fine, and the issue still appears to be with the BIOS—it's outdated, but I don't know how to update it without posting. Sorry if this sounds frustrating; I've been working really hard and feel stuck right now.

Sure, I'd install the latest UEFI/BIOS on a USB stick and then apply the changes. This might resolve the issue. Alternatively, there could be faulty hardware involved, which is possible too. Please inform us about the progress of the BIOS flashing.
