Unusual problems with motherboard and GPU
Hello, I recently assembled a new PC using mostly refurbished components. I've encountered some unusual problems lately. Occasionally, during startup, the motherboard displays a blue splash screen instead of the usual black one. The POST time is around 23 seconds, not reaching the desktop but landing on the splash screen. When I disconnect the monitor, it takes about 17 seconds and Windows automatically sets the recommended resolution for my full HD display to 720p. I also recall placing this GPU with the same power supply into an older motherboard (without UEFI) that had an Intel processor, which functioned perfectly. THE SPECS: Motherboard – Asrock A320M-DVS R4.0 (BIOS 7.0), GPU – Sapphire Nitro+ RTX 580, CPU – Ryzen 5 3600X, RAM – Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB (2x8GB), PSU – Corsair VS650.
Ensure all connections are secure, reinsert the RAM and GPU, then verify each part individually on a different machine. Success is within reach!
