So this is a bit unusual, but figured I’d ask anyway. So I was trying to buy a knife for my friend, just a cheap one to get him started, but I’ve tried to visit a few websites but keep getting this warning thing. It’s happened with the websites for Buck, Microtech and Grindworx. I’ve never had this issue before, but it keeps telling me the sites could be phony. Why is this? I’m using data bc I’m on school wifi which blocks them (cause knives) Anyone know what’s going on? p.s it’s a screenshot from when I tried to go to Buck but it’s the same message for each site. I’m on an iPhone 7+ with T-Mobile data of that matters ok I’m editing it to say that for some reason the Perry Knifeworks site works for some reason I also tried other weapons manufacturers websites like Sig Sauer and Browning but they were flagged too

Check the show details button to reveal the information you need. Various reasons can cause this, and the details will clarify the cause.

Yes, you can click to view the certificates. That should clarify why it isn't valid.

It might have been an issue with the certificate. When linking to that site, it displays Globalsign as the signer. Are you running any software that could alter your connection, like a VPN? Could you provide more details and share all certification information (full authority name)?

Note: It seems Cisco Umbrella DNS Security is involved. Safari may reject their certificates. Are you using a business phone or computer with additional software installed? If so, you should install the Cisco Umbrella root certificate or reach out to IT if this isn’t your device.

This certificate comes from Cisco, not the site itself. There appears to be a firewall redirecting the page to a blocked view instead of displaying the actual website. The certificates seem to block access. OpenDNS suggests it might be a DNS filter or another web filter on the device. Is this on a personal device? Is there a VPN in use?

I'm at school. The Wi-Fi isn't working, I'm using data which might interfere. My YouTube on data is stuck in Restricted mode now, maybe it was school too.

Are you using your own device or one supplied by the school? If it's your own device, you might only need to clear web data in Safari.
