Hello! I generally prefer not to rely heavily on online assistance, but I’m dealing with a peculiar problem involving my new motherboard and CPU. I purchased everything together as a bundle from Amazon. My setup consists of an MSI B550 A-PRO Motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X. I have 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200mhz RAM. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro, BIOS version 7C56vAH, and it was installed on March 19, 2024.
When I first assembled the system, I tried to use my graphics card—a Biostar RX550 4GB—but it didn’t perform well since I don’t require high-end graphics. Later, I switched to an XFX AMD Radeon R5 220 2GB card, and the same issue persisted. Eventually, I moved to my old Viewmax GeForce GT 730 4GB GPU, which worked fine.
I’m wondering if these cards are a bit outdated compared to the GT 730 (they’re about three years older), or if there’s something wrong with the motherboard or CPU itself. The BIOS updates, driver changes, and PCIE port swaps haven’t resolved the problem. Sometimes it boots quickly one day and takes longer the next. I’m hoping someone can share their experience—could this be a hardware concern or just a software quirk? Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I consider replacing everything.
This seems to be a sensitive tech problem. It might be better to return it from Amazon and request a refund. Don't forget to delete your product key.
