Unusual problem with the background image on your system.
Hello, I'm dealing with a Raspberry Pi Hackintosh running Catalina. It's functioning normally overall, but there are occasional strange display problems. After a reboot or cold start, the desktop appears distorted—still 4K resolution, yet only the lower left corner shows the wallpaper while the rest is black. The dock disappears entirely, leaving three quarters of the screen blank. I suspect this issue might appear when the login screen shows up as 1080p instead of the intended 4K. From there, I have limited options: I can still use the system and open apps from there, but accessing System Preferences is difficult. Shutting down and restarting seems to fix it sometimes (sometimes two cycles), yet rebooting doesn't resolve it. I'm not sure what's causing this, but any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!
