I'm experiencing an unusual behavior with my HP EliteBook Folio 9470m. When I disconnect or reconnect the charger, the screen briefly turns black before returning to normal. This issue only occurs with Windows 10 and isn't present on Linux. Could you help identify the possible cause?

No, when the laptop runs solely on battery, the battery status display is typically not visible on the screen.

Yes, it indicates roughly four hours left to go.

I might be mistaken, but since you mentioned it only occurs with Windows, I suspect a driver-related issue. You could test an external monitor to check if the problem continues. It’s hard to imagine a clear cause, so someone more experienced might want to look into this thread.

You have your main system setup and an extra device listed in Device Manager, yet the Intel GPU drivers are already present.

I figured it out. The Intel graphics feature was configured to display at 40Hz when using battery power. Each time I disconnected it, it returned to that setting.
