Unusual port forwarding issue Question about configuring ports in a network setup
The issue lies in trying to configure a cellular failover without access to large-scale providers following Netgear's discontinuation of the LB2120. I'm searching for a router offering comparable features, recalling Asus' previous line of routers with built-in failover capabilities.
Sadly I don't see any affordable, user-friendly alternatives beyond swapping their router with the one you prefer. Even then, some internet providers restrict this change. The most straightforward option that keeps things safe without exposing your device is using a VPN. It might cost more based on how much you're using it, but it's essential for protecting users with restricted routers or double NAT setups. Plus, it lets you keep your current router and simplifies the setup process for everyone involved.
