Previously, Bonjour served as a widely available tool on Windows, often paired with iTunes for connecting iPods and iPhones. Are there any Apple devices or applications currently used on your system?

It's possible I just connected my iPhone to charge, but there might be more to it.

Bonjour functions as mDNS for local detection of multimedia devices on a network. It powers iTunes but isn't essential for phone synchronization. Proceed with caution—granting such access without proper signing or approval isn't advisable. It might be possible to use a newer iTunes version with a compliant mdnsNSP.dll. Until then, restrict access. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255...ortBy=rank Edit: Some suggest no problems with iTunes 12.13.4.4 after removing Bonjour. Still, it's not necessary. Simply uninstall and test; if it works, your concern is resolved. Edited September 24, 2025 by StDragon
