I attempted to set up AI Suite 3 on my PC to evaluate voltage and clock speed combinations for stability. After installing the software and resetting the system, all USB devices ceased functioning once Windows started, despite working in BIOS. Resetting back to a saved state two days prior resolved the USB problem, but performance issues persisted. The machine became slow overall, with CPU usage nearing 100% during any task. Moving the cursor across the screen was especially problematic, particularly on displays with lots of text like Intel Power Gadget or NVIDIA Control Panel. This issue occurred on an i7-6700K at 4.7 stable and a SATA 3 SSD that had previously worked well. Someone might have noticed hardware acceleration as a possible cause, but I’m cautious about further modifications.

Your system installation is broken, you should perform a fresh setup. Never attempt overclocking or stability checks on a "production" OS, as crashes can damage everything. Either switch to another storage device, install the OS and required utilities, complete your work, then return to your usual boot drive with those configurations, or use your final drive but format/reinstall cleanly for production after testing.

You can restore your game saves after reinstalling Windows by using a backup method such as a cloud service or an external drive. Make sure to copy the save files beforehand and then reinstall the OS without overwriting them.

Perform a fresh setup of Windows.
Download the installer from the official Microsoft site and run it offline.
Turn off automatic driver updates during the initial boot (keep disconnected).
Visit the motherboard support page for manual driver installation, including graphics drivers.

You have Windows 10 clean on a USB drive, that's great! Thank you for your question.

Yes, you can transfer all your games and documents to your HDD and then perform a clean SSD format during Windows reinstallation.

You want to transfer files to an SSD while formatting the old HDD. That’s correct. However, I suggest turning off the HDD during installation of Windows 10. The system will still create boot files even if it isn’t the main drive.

Game saves might go to unusual locations, so verify each game you enjoy and search online for storage details.

Your operating system is installed on your SSD, but you're trying to format it and reinstall Clean Windows while transferring your personal files to the HDD. The HDD currently holds only game files, not Windows. Are you interpreting this correctly?
