Unusual odor emanating from the computer is concerning.
When I play games that really push my PC, I can detect the warm air escaping. It’s not always pleasant, but sometimes it has a distinct scent. Recently, I spent an hour and a half on Rust and noticed the hot air coming out. There was something unusual about the smell—it felt like a burnt note. I’m curious if your system can actually catch fire from overheating. My GPU is at 83°C and CPU at 79°C. After smelling it, I turned off Rust and checked around like a dog to see if the odor returned. It was just hot air. The smell was similar to regular heat, but after taking a deep breath, it felt different. Here’s my PC setup: case, NOJOY Vanguard with custom RGB fans, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X (4.4GHZ), MSI GAMING X TRIO RTX 2080S (8GB DDR6), 16GB RAM (15.96 usable), Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO power supply, Corsair CX750 (750W), 1TB WD Blue SSD, Kingston A400 motherboard, ASUS TUF B450M PLUS GAMING.
