You're encountering a generic system audio cue in Windows 10 Home without any related alert. This can happen due to background processes, updates, or hardware issues. Others might be facing similar experiences depending on their settings or recent changes. Checking system logs or updating drivers could help clarify the cause.

I’m trying to create the sound by adjusting the settings and testing different inputs.

Have you looked in all areas for alerts? Maybe something is running quietly in the background.

I observed the sound when I used backspace in Skype and saw nothing there. That’s what happened. I wasn’t sure if that was normal.

Noted, took two hours to figure it out. Microsoft and those strange updates are a pain.

You should look elsewhere for control options besides the Action Center. Since you don’t have Skype installed, check the app settings or system preferences directly.

The ITS Probbly windows are prompting whether you wish to recommend, but the notification panel is empty.
