I recently assembled a new setup. Almost everything except the power supply and graphics card was brand new. From the start, I faced problems where my monitor would shut down because of weak signal and odd display glitches. The Event Viewer reported that the display driver stopped responding but later recovered. I investigated various reasons and found it could stem from many factors. When trying to activate XMP profiles for my RAM, things got tricky—mostly related to memory management settings. Eventually, testing with just two modules resolved everything. Video stability returned and XMP enabled without issues. I experimented with different module combinations in various slots, but the issue only appeared when all four modules were installed across all DIMMs. The system uses Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB 8×4 at 3600MHz. While I can work with 16GB RAM, that’s not the main concern here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since I’ve searched extensively without success. My rig is an Asus ROG Strix Z490-f gaming model.
Consider setting it directly at the specified speed on the device. It may point to an XMP profile problem.
