I've noticed some recurring issues with my PC. It's about three to four years old and has a 10850K CPU. The error message keeps appearing: "ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The %s operation could not be performed in memory." It seems less frequent when the system isn't running XMP and is clocked at 2133MHz. I also tried swapping the RAM sticks, which worked temporarily with XMP, but now the crashes are back. I'm suspecting a problem with the motherboard. Any other suggestions on what might be causing this?

Execute Windows Memory Diagnostic or Memtest86 with XMP turned on and off. Any issues indicate a faulty memory module. Swapping slots doesn't properly evaluate the module set; consistent errors suggest a hardware problem. Before proceeding, try a different memory kit to isolate the source. Verify your motherboard's BIOS version—frequent updates often improve stability. If needed, run diagnostics again after updating the BIOS. If errors persist, replace the memory and retest.

I made some adjustments to the memory layout, and each slot-ram stick combination stayed consistent for several days. Right now I’m using the suggested slots again, and even with XMP it’s remained stable over the past three weeks.
