Your PC has been experiencing strange behavior, and after testing, it seems two of your memory modules are deteriorating rapidly with many errors. All four were tested across all slots, but only two are affected. These modules come from different manufacturers and revisions, yet they share the same issue. The first set you used for two to three years worked well, while the second set has remained stable for a year. Currently, the failing modules are placed in slots A2 and B2. It’s puzzling how two sticks from different sets could start failing together. The other working modules in those slots are functioning normally. It’s possible external factors or environmental changes caused the simultaneous failure.

RAM can definitely produce sounds if it isn't properly seated. I'm also familiar with RAM failing to operate quietly. It seems you've likely removed and then reinstalled the RAM, focusing on two particular modules. If that's not the case, definitely give it another try. Since you're encountering many errors, I highly recommend replacing it as soon as possible. By the way, have you verified the voltage levels they're operating at?

Disabled XMP settings, fewer errors now but some remain. The CPU model is 5900x.

Changed them multiple times, tested every slot and position. Using XMP/DOCP keeps them at 1.35, which is typical. I haven’t ever adjusted their speed manually.

It seems the problem is more related to the processor than RAM, since RAM is difficult to recover from. Sudden worsening usually indicates an IMC issue.

This was my worry too, yet the other two working sticks function perfectly in the two spots where the broken ones were, while the damaged ones are failing everywhere. It would be strange if the IMC caused lasting harm to the RAM, yet it operates smoothly on the ones that are okay.

It's odd to notice this with the failing RAM; it's usually my first observation. Let's rule out IMC if the other slots are functioning properly.
