I recently upgraded my system (from a 3800x to an i7 13700k with 64GB RAM) and everything worked for about three months. Then I encountered my first blue screen, which didn’t seem serious at the time. Recently, I’ve experienced a few crashes—multiple games failing—that haven’t happened before. I’m curious what might be causing this. I didn’t perform a fresh Windows installation since I originally built my PC with an i7 7700k; I just upgraded the drive and my friend mentioned the possibility of faulty RAM.

It seems the setup process matters a lot. Intel works well, but AMD doesn’t quite fit. There’s a more involved procedure because each chipset and driver differs.
