It seems more constrained by timing details than the SOC level during POSTing, though that might change. Increasing the SOC voltage brings back memories of recent issues with 7800x3D and similar AM5 CPUs experiencing overheating.

You activated ECO mode via PBO2 in UEFI to control the TDP. For your 7950X build, you set the maximum TDP to 105W to maintain stable temperatures and smoother performance when using Windows Server 2019.

I prefer backend control heavily, even creating custom vBIOS to automatically activate stable overclocks. With my RTX 4090, I’d set the default 'OC' vBIOS to match the settings I applied via MSI Afterburner. In my view, resetting CMOS is simpler than safely removing a program that might start with an unstable overclock.

The Corsair RAM received a firmware update... Wow! I attempted to bypass some settings by using Ryzen Master to enable Expo, then switching Expo to UEFI after a boot failure, and finally booting into Windows. However, this approach might cause the Eco-mode control in Ryzen Master to reset if I restart Windows Down. It seems like setting up Manual Eco Mode in the BIOS could be a better solution.

The update is solely for RGB purposes. I’m unsure if other non-RGB RAM models also get firmware updates, as I don’t want to install iCUE on my RGB lite system. That’s why I chose the Corsair Vengeance kit.

My boyfriend's system runs entirely via iCUE control, except for his GPU. I stopped using Corsair memory and switched to Kingston, which works perfectly with my Mobo RGB without any software setup. I found an ECO mode option in Asus's UEFI PBO settings, enabled it (using EXPO), saved the user profile, and exported it to a USB drive. I also adjusted Trc to the right value, and the system booted fine—though I’m not sure why Asus didn’t apply that change.

Asus has experimented with the Ryzen 7000 series on their motherboards in interesting ways. They offer a fully adjustable preferred CCD profile that adapts to CPU power draw and RAM activity for models like the 7900x3D/7950x3D—something Gigabyte boards lack entirely. The 'Enhanced' PBO feature seems to deliver maximum performance, though it might also contribute to some observed issues.

However, the iCUE/Razer RGB controls aren't great—they're still more reliable than those from MSI, Gigabyte, or Asus. Since he already picked a Corsair cooler and RAM, I thought it would be wise to get him a Corsair fan and a converter so we could connect the front ARGB fans to the same controller that manages the AIO. We'll see what the GN's findings reveal; I suspect ASUS is handling this issue, which explains why the Ryzen Master didn't work and why most boards seem to fail from there.
