Hello everyone! Good morning to all. My setup is an MSI G241 with 1080P and 144Hz. I've had a problem for about two years now. Yesterday, the bottom section where the taskbar appears became blurry. At first, I didn't think much of it because I assumed it was just a glitch from the game I was playing. After turning off the computer, I was hopeful things would be fine when I woke up. Unfortunately, the issue persisted—my screen still showed blurry duplicates instead of the taskbar. Now it only shows the top part of my display, repeating what's already there. Instead of the taskbar, I see browser tabs when Chrome is open. I've tried various fixes: different HDMI cables, another port, switching to VC or onboard graphics, reinstalling drivers. Still nothing. I suspect the monitor itself might be faulty. If anyone has expertise here, could you assist? I'd rather not spend more money on a new one. I've attached a photo for reference; closely inspect it and let me know what you see. Thank you in advance!
Check the monitor firmware to see if an update resolves the issue. It might not be an OLED problem but rather a fault with the port or Optix G241 firmware (msi.com).
I've tried before. Pressing that area causes a slight reaction.
It might be a mild panle damage that would need replacement if it's still under caution. You could try returning it if possible.
