Here's what's happening . Like idek how to explain it, tf? Specs: Board - GIGABYTE B850M DS3H BIOS Version - F4 (Latest Version) GPU - GIGABYTE EAGLE 6700 XT CPU - Ryzen 5 8400f RAM - Corsair Vengeance 5600 MT/s PSU - Corsair TX 850 | 80+ Bronze I thought it might've been unstable RAM, so I lowered the speed but the issue still persisted. I haven't oc'd my cpu. I then tried a CMOS reset, and flashing the bios, but the issue remined. All of my cables are seated correctly, so that can't be the issue. I'll also add that the VGA LED on my motherboard is red BEFORE I boot into windows, but once I'm in the VGALED turns off. I think my PCIE slot might be damaged, but the fact that it works fine in Windows leads me to believe otherwise. Is there anything I could do, or should I RMA the board?

This setup seems unusual—never encountered it before. What would happen if you swapped the GPU into the other PCIe lane? Do you have a backup GPU or can you ask someone for one to try and eliminate the possibility? Also check your GPU on another machine to see if the issue persists. You’ll need to determine whether the problem lies with the GPU itself, the motherboard, or something else entirely.

The most bizarre thing happened. I changed the monitor, cable, and GPU, then switched back and forth, tried the 6700 XT, and finally used the original cable—problem solved.

Maybe the 6700 PCIe link had a minor issue rather than poor contact, and it stabilized after being repositioned. The unit does tend to sag slightly because of its size and weight.

It seems the setup wasn't aligned properly. The GPU is quite slim, which means there was no droop.
