Hello, I'm not sure if you can assist me, but I'm hoping for the best. There seems to be an issue with my computer where the motherboard (ASUS TUF Z390-PRO GAMING) isn't functioning properly right away. When I have two RAM sticks installed, it freezes and restarts repeatedly in a loop—sometimes it starts but doesn't display anything on the screen. I've tried removing one stick at a time and it works fine. I also checked different slots on the motherboard, and it functions correctly with a single stick. My motherboard model is Asus TUF Z390-PRO GAMING (WI-FI) and the RAM sticks are Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Vengeance.
Consider trying another RAM module. If that fails, the motherboard slot might be the issue. It could also help to reset the BIOS—do you have a CMOS jumper on your board? Just power down the PC and use a flathead screwdriver or a quarter to connect the pins. If you don’t have one, remove the battery. A faulty OC chip in the RAM can lead to boot loops. Edit: I’ve faced similar problems with Vengeance RAM before; it’s clearly low-quality.
I purchased a new RAM module but it didn’t improve performance. I haven’t tried resetting the BIOS, though I can do it after work tomorrow. I also came across an ASUS guide titled MemOK! II, which claims to fix boot issues caused by memory overclocking and instability. When a DRAM-related POST error appears, the motherboard adjusts memory settings until the system starts. Do you have any doubts about that? Also, I thought the motherboard might handle it automatically without needing to remove the battery or reset the BIOS?
