I recently increased my RAM from 16 to 32 GB (2933 MHz) and have observed in Task Manager that my computer typically consumes about 20-25% even when idle. I’m struggling to understand why this happens and am hoping for some guidance. Please share a few screenshots of your Task Manager to help. I really think background processes might be using around 1.1 MB, and if that’s the case, what methods exist to remove them on startup? This is my first time upgrading RAM, so I’m worried I might have made a mistake. Lol

leaving RAM unused means you're wasting space, but Windows can still use it if you have a large amount of free memory. it will release the memory only when another program needs it, though currently it remains idle and unused.

Are you sure? It seems like the 'o.0' isn't present, yet the data looks off. The figures don't match the expected percentages.

The workload seems manageable with just eight pages of tasks. Disabling apps like Brave, Spotify, Steam, Blitz, and Discord should free up significant time.

You should have checked the page file size before and after changes. Now that you have extra memory available, the window will send less data to the page file.
