Guys if I plug in HDMI half way in on my GPU side I get a proper HDMI output. If I plug it in fully I get no output and horrendous coil whine from my GPU. Only happens with a particular monitor irrespective of me using HDMI or DVI converted to HDMI on my monitor. Different Cable doesn't change this. Display port works fine. Zotac 1050ti Acer KG241QP

Yes, you can use the DP cable. This should address your problem.

Are there other HDMI options to consider? It seems many end up as ewaste, so it's worth verifying the compatibility with your locking cable. This might help you find a better fit.
