Unusual fluctuations in frame rate drops?
I usually stay in the U.S., but recently moved to Germany for two months. I mainly use a gaming laptop. This issue only began recently. With the games Alien Isolation and Metal Gear Ground Zero, I experience sudden drops in frame rate, sometimes falling as low as 15 fps for a few seconds. It’s not just brief stutters; it lasts longer. Yesterday, Ground Zero stayed at 15 fps for about a minute without recovering. When I switched tabs, the battery connection seemed off. At first, I thought the charger might be faulty, but this problem isn’t present in all my games. It also appears with Shadow Warrior 2013 and Thief Deadly Shadows. The game before that was Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and I tried fixing stutters by adjusting the Nvidia Control Panel, but it didn’t work. Deus Ex HR never had this issue. Any suggestions?
Check if the issue is linked to a specific game or update in Nvidia Control. Determine whether the problem appears consistently across those titles and try troubleshooting steps like restarting the app, clearing cache, or reinstalling the software.
