Hello. I'm using Windows 10 for gaming on my main desktop, but it's not installing properly. I've reached out to Microsoft support, but they haven't helped. Over the past month, every time I attempt to install Windows 10, I encounter a blue screen around the 40% completion mark with the message "Getting Files Ready For Installation..." followed by a BSOD that ends in either a System Service check failure or a Kernel Security Check Failure. Before considering hardware issues, I ran Memtest86 on my RAM and tested both the 3TB and 1TB HDDs—both are functioning correctly. My BIOS/UEFI is up to date as well. I'm stuck and hoping a new USB drive will resolve the problem.
That's what I believed. However, I don't have another motherboard or configuration for my Intel i7 7700 and GTX 1060 with 3GB RAM.
You're experiencing issues because your system is already running an operating system, which might prevent the installation of another one.
In the last month, each time I attempt to set up Windows 10, I encounter a blue screen. You seem to have no system running for a while. Consider trying installation on another machine and connecting the drive there.
It seems each update I receive breaks (install.win corruption is probably the cause).
You obtained the .iso file from the official source. This version should work properly. Avoid any corrupted files, as they may cause issues.
I obtained the Windows Media Creation Tool using the provided link since my laptop runs Windows, which allowed the site to recognize it and offer a download option. I attempted to use a Linux-based Chrome book to get a direct ISO, but it ended up with a BSOD and a Service System Exception or Kernel Security check failure. This was caused by a corrupted installation file and the instability of Windows 10 1809 (and even 1803). I’m unable to install any supported version of Windows 10 for download. Microsoft support also didn’t assist.
