Unusual delay problem
Unusual delay problem
I've been experiencing performance problems recently, beginning approximately three to four days ago. While playing Apex Legends, my entire computer began exhibiting a consistent lag, which wasn't typical in-game slowdown. This felt like a widespread stutter affecting my visuals and audio—even when the game was closed, these elements continued to lag. My desktop mouse cursor also experienced delays. I ruled out an internet connection issue, as my service is generally reliable. I conducted virus and system scans, but they did not identify any problems. To my limited knowledge of PC systems, my drivers are current and I believe my hardware is operating optimally. Benchmarking tests performed successfully.
PC Details:

What type and model of RAM do you have? What version number is your motherboard's BIOS currently set to? Which edition of Windows 10 are you utilizing? What is the manufacturer and model of your power supply unit, and how old is it? Given that you’re using a single storage drive—specifically an HDD—I suspect the issue with slow loading times is stemming from problems with that hard drive. However, this is just an educated guess, and we would need additional information (your answers to my earlier questions) to confirm this.
Regarding memory, this system utilizes a solitary DDR4 module boasting 8 gigabytes and a clock speed of 1197.1 MHz, specifically the “DDR4 XPG Dazzle, 8GB 2400MHz” model. The BIOS firmware is version “American Megatrends Inc. 5.13, dated April 17th, 2018.” I am operating with Windows 10 Education. Furthermore, my power supply unit is a “PCYES Electro V2 600W 80 Plus White Active PFC,” and due to the pre-assembled nature of this computer, the components have been in use for approximately one year.
