It's a sudden shutdown that stops everything except the computer. Checking the motherboard shows the CPU LED is lit. This happens right after entering a swamp crypt in Valheim or shortly after starting a game in the outer wilds. It doesn't happen while playing Elden Ring, Forza Horizon 5, Minecraft or any other game at full intensity. Two years ago, during power outages, my GPU would crash under heavy use. I switched to a 3080 GPU and updated the PSU afterward. My thoughts suggest power cuts might have impacted both the CPU and memory. MSI RTX 3080 Ryzen 5 2700X Corsair 32Go RAM 3000MHz MSI B450 A PRO

Hello @GromTw, you're facing a similar problem in this forum. As instructed, try running sfc/scannow in the command prompt with administrator privileges. Before my crashes became more frequent, updating the NVIDIA driver to an older version would resolve my issue with the game, though it might trigger crashes in others.

Hi, I faced issues with sfc/scannow and wasn't sure why updating the NVIDIA driver would help. The CPU would crash before it even started, but I appreciate your response.

No, Valheim does not use an anti-cheat system.

I identified the issue—it was the CPU game boost toggle in BIOS that caused my CPU to crash.
